Jofers Here's an idea:
Put recaptcha with the static site, and two token words. A javascript will remove the captcha and SHA-1 hash the two words together into a hidden field. Either one will be considered valid input to the site.

So no-script die-hards will still be able to use it, and the javascript will make the changes seem transparent to the rest.
