Programming isn't as fun to me and I eventually realized it's because I'm no longer as much of an introvert. If I had a lifetime to pursue each esoteric subject matter that suits my fancy, I would. But I don't.
I like supporting my family, spending time with my daughter, cleaning and cooking when I have the time.
Games would certainly be a "fun" thing to make, but with all of the heart and passion required to make one... Heck, I don't even play video games any more. Why would I make one?
You have to both accept change and the fact that your interest will change, also.
